Our Sustainability Policies

Our Environmental and Waste Management Policy

We act in accordance with national and international legislation established by legal authorities and in compliance with the principle of the rule of law at all stages of production and services at our facility. We also adhere to other conditions that our facility is obliged to comply with and/or those based on voluntary principles.

As a facility that respects the environment and future generations, we aim to contribute to the development of our local communities in all activities at our hotel. To this end, we provide training and information to our employees, suppliers and guests, to encourage them to be environmentally conscious and contribute to sustainability. We are pleased to make our stakeholders aware of these efforts.

We aim to use natural resources correctly and efficiently, to use environmentally friendly products, and we are consistently working to improve these goals. We are sensitive to the protection of biodiversity and the ecosystem. Having adopted a commitment to protecting the environment in all our activities and by using our resources in the most efficient way, we aim to prevent environmental pollution, ensure that the waste currently generated is recycled to make it harmless to nature, and to reduce our waste amount with a goal of zero waste. We classify our waste according to its type, separate it at waste separation points, and dispose of it through licensed organisations designated by the ministry. Additionally, we inform our guests about our environmental awareness and encourage them to contribute to respecting and protecting nature during their stay.

Our Energy Efficiency Policy

We act with an awareness of our responsibilities regarding energy efficiency in order to protect the environment and to leave a liveable world for future generations.

Whilst fulfilling our responsibilities to nature, we also follow national and international standards, laws, and regulations, and carry out work that will reduce energy usage and/or continuously improve our energy consumption performance. We continue to strengthen our technical services and teams to identify technologies and the latest innovations that facilitate reducing energy consumption without compromising guest comforts.

We set targets for the efficient use of energy resources, provide training to our employees in line with our objectives, and guide our guests and stakeholders. We aim to continuously improve our energy performance through efficient use of our energy resources and by increasing the use of alternative and renewable sources in our hotels.

Our Quality, Food Safety and Occupational Health & Safety Policy

We demonstrate a management approach that shows leadership and innovation and is focused on continuous improvement in the accommodation sector. The health and safety of our employees, partners, guests, suppliers and all stakeholders is our top priority.

To ensure that our guests, employees and all stakeholders work and receive services in a safe and healthy environment, we act in accordance with national and international laws and regulations; carry out our activities in compliance with legislation, food, quality and occupational safety standards; and regularly implement and review the necessary controls, training and precautions.

We also identify the impacts and risks of our activities in the areas of food quality and safety, and occupational health and safety, and we take the necessary measures to prevent these risks from occurring and/or to reduce their undesirable effects. Additionally, We establish objectives and programmes for the continuous improvement of our food quality and safety, and occupational health and safety processes, and we review them to make the necessary resource investments.

We implement necessary controls and take measures to prevent and eliminate hazardous environments that could cause accidents and illnesses, as well as any environmental pollution resulting from our activities. We ensure the participation of our employees by providing them with appropriate training. We encourage our suppliers to comply with environmental and occupational health and safety standards, relevant legislation in line with our policies, and we strive to collaborate in these areas. Through a guest-focused approach, we aim to ensure guest satisfaction without compromising food safety and quality standards and we aim to use all resources efficiently and correctly.

To protect the health of our employees and guests and ensure healthy nutrition, we have implemented a food safety management system from the product procurement stage to the service and presentation processes that prioritises hygienic conditions. We continuously improve these standards to produce and serve products that comply with quality and food safety principles. We aim to reduce food waste, to prevent waste, and use resources efficiently whilst ensuring food safety. To this end, we involve our employees and suppliers in these process by necessary trainings and regular information sharing.

To establish and ensure the sustainability of the food safety system, we have our processes audited by independent external institutions, in addition to our internal control mechanisms, and with employees who have received specialized training on the subject.

Through our Environmental Procurement Policy, we aim to provide services of quality and standards that are compatible with fundamental human rights and labour rights principles; to enable the efficient use of limited natural resources; and to ensure that our understanding of sustainability is maintained and spreads and strengthens throughout the entire supply chain.

Our Environmental Procurement Policy demonstrates our commitment to honesty, trust and respect in human rights, fundamental labour principles in all our operations, and in our relationships with each of our stakeholders. To achieve these goals, we expect our suppliers to embrace our fundamental principles in this area and to cooperate with us in developing and disseminating these principles with a view to their continuous improvement.

We work with our suppliers based on shared ethical principles and collaborate with them to improve their environmental and social performance. When purchasing requested products or services, and where appropriate (if the product or service is available/continuously supplied), we aim to source from locations close to our facilities, thereby contributing to reducing environmental impacts through a reduction of suppliers' carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions during delivery. When selecting suppliers for centralised or local product/service purchases, we consider environmental awareness and regional/local sourcing; fuels, chemicals, and harmful pesticides; all fossil fuel-consuming vehicles and equipment; electrical appliances, appliances containing refrigerant gases, and noisy appliances; consumables, plastic materials, and construction materials; the presence of necessary permits and certifications; and energy efficiency ratings.

We recognise that all our employees are representatives of our brand and values. With the understanding that our employees are our partners, we take the utmost care to select each employee from among individuals who possess the necessary training, experience, and competencies, and who are compatible with our corporate culture, values, and objectives. Our main principle in selection and placement is to provide equal opportunities to individuals who possess the competencies (knowledge, skills, behaviour) required for the job and who embrace and uphold company values, without discrimination or privilege.

Respecting and protecting our employees' rights under laws and regulations is one of our company's most important duties and priorities. Equal opportunities are provided to all our employees in our human resources practices, from recruitment to training, remuneration, career development, and material benefits. We closely monitor, regularly audit, and control the compliance of our employees and business partners with legal obligations regarding occupational health and safety and working hours. We regularly review and update our policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with the latest developments in the field.

We provide training to our employees on children's rights and protection; awareness of the attitudes and behaviours of parents towards their children, and signs of physical, verbal, or psychological violence or neglect. Our employees are to report any suspicious situations where our child guests may be at risk to the relevant authorities as a matter of priority; to seek help from the social support hotline when deemed necessary; and to support relevant projects for all children and their rights.

Exploitation and Abuse Policy

In line with our responsible tourism mission, we support the protection of children from sexual exploitation and respect and support children's rights; including those protecting from child labour and human trafficking.

We are committed to acting ethically and honestly in all our business relationships and to implement and maintain effective systems and controls to prevent the sexual exploitation and abuse of children, women, disadvantaged groups, and others.

We believe that maintaining constant communication with our local communities contributes to the welfare, quality of life, and living spaces of our local neighbours. Aware of the importance of social unity and support, we make every effort to engage with and bolster our local communities in social issues and in all other matters.

We aim to support initiatives that develop local economies and communities, and to respect and protect local culture, traditions, and lifestyles. We declare that we will cooperate with all our stakeholders in protecting the natural heritage and cultural characteristics of the regions in which we operate.

Our Biodiversity and Wildlife Conservation Policy

The protection of biodiversity is one of the priority items within the sustainability principles of our organization. By identifying and monitoring the impact of our activities on biodiversity, we aim to protect the diversity of species, habitats, ecosystems, and the integrity of ecological functions.

We are committed to protecting the integrity of ecosystems and biological diversity, which are an invaluable natural heritage, to promote a balanced coexistence, and the development and growth of natural heritage. To raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity and its protection, we organise internal trainings and communication activities at our facilities and include this topic in our sustainability training programmes. We take into account the regulations stipulated by national and international legislation regarding animal welfare. We provide all our stakeholders with the necessary information regarding the prohibition of hunting and trading endangered species.

We do not display, present, or sell items made from protected species or any other vulnerable wildlife. We do not support or participate in any activities related to biodiversity and wildlife that are prohibited by legislation or involve unacceptable practices. We ensure that any renovations, construction, or similar works undertaken are carried out in a manner that does not harm natural life, fauna, or the habitats of endangered or threatened species.

We collaborate with the relevant authorities and NGOs to protect endemic plants in our region. We monitor endangered species through sites such as WWF and CITES. We guide our guests, stakeholders, and employees to ensure that the products they use are not derived from endangered species. We reject the use of animals in shows for commercial gain or personal pleasure.
