Richmond Pamukkale Awarded the Sustainable Tourism Certificate

As Richmond Pamukkale Thermal, part of the Richmond Hotels group and one of the long-established hotels in the Pamukkale region, we have achieved full compliance in the audits conducted by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). Having met all the GSTC’s international sustainable tourism criteria, Richmond Pamukkale has earned the right to receive the “GSTC Sustainable Tourism Certificate” for its sustainable tourism initiatives.

We are continuing our efforts to obtain the Sustainable Tourism Certificate for our other hotels operating under the Richmond Hotels umbrella.

About the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC)

The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) is an independent organisation established in 2007 by UNEP, the United Nations Environment Programme, and the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), to promote greater knowledge, understanding, and the adoption of sustainable tourism practices.

The GSTC has a global network of members representing a broad range of stakeholders in the tourism sector, including leading international tour operators, government organisations, national tourism councils, and local and international accommodation brands.

The GSTC has developed a set of standards known as the GSTC Criteria. These criteria represent the minimum requirements that any tourism business must meet to achieve socially, economically, culturally, and environmentally sustainable tourism worldwide.
